YRUU
Young Religious Unitarian Universalists
YRUU, the youth organization of the UUA, serves youth from 12-20 years old. Guided by national goals and purposes, each local group determines its own vision.
YRUU participants are free to discuss anything -- religion, politics, sexuality, school, music, poetry, social issues, or whatever is important to them. The emphasis is placed on the creation of an accepting, supportive community which respects the feelings and needs of individuals. Within YRUU, young people make friends and develop values that last a lifetime.
This group meets separately from the Jr./Sr. High R.E. Sunday Class, usually on a weekday evening or weekend time slot, for discussion, planning social projects, fun and fellowship. District-wide Conferences, or CONS, are targeted for attendance throughout the year as well.
Our Youth Advisors, Mark Vickers and Joyce Johnson, welcome all youth in our congregation to see what YRUU has to offer. Contact Mark or Joyce for additional information: admin@bbuus.org.
