Is humor really good for the soul? We hear that "laughter is the best medicine." But is it conducive to one’s spiritual health? [Okay, you know it is!] Norman Cousins called laughter "inner jogging." And the Rev. David Weissbard says that “humor seems to be a lubricant for slipping into deeper dimensions of being.” Let’s get greased up and slide on in this Sunday.
Speaker’s Bio: Rev. Jack Ford has been a member of BBUUS since 1995. He became an ordained UU minister in 2001 and speaks regularly not only at BBUUS but also at the UU Church of Valdosta, Georgia and All Souls UU Congregation in Palatka, Florida. Rev. Ford describes himself as a hippie from the 1960s who lived briefly on a Christian commune in rural Georgia. He remains passionate about reading, writing, environmental and social concerns, and climbing trees.
